Although Haven in Valorant went through a lot of hardship back in the day, today, this map is a crowd favorite. The decision to remove this map was heavily criticized, and thankfully, the decision was reverted. Let’s discover what makes this map an iconic one in Valorant!

Haven Map Valorant: Beyond The Map

Unique is what defines the Haven map in Valorant. The peculiar Asian style and the interconnected paths make this map one that will make you more vigilant of your surroundings when you attack or defend. In this map, it is easy to be caught off guard, so be vary.

There are three sites, so let’s see what paths you can take to plant the Spike and which ones are best for reaching the site in time to defuse the bomb. Here are the sites in Haven in Valorant:

A Site

It’s on the right, just against the edge of the map, and you can reach it by four different paths: A Tower, A Link, A Long, and A Short. This site has box piles in the middle, which you can use for cover. However, you will be able to use a hide-and-hold angle outside A Short and an area under A Tower to gather information for your next move.

While you are attacking this site, it’s essential to check every corner in A Short and A Long. Its likely enemies will try to sneak up on you from plenty of cover available. The best you can do while attacking is clear out angles and plant. A great tip is to smoke A Link or A Tower. On the other hand, if you are defending, you will have a good line of sight on A Long, which you can use to your benefit. Push the enemy team slightly to force them to take A Lobby. In this position, you will be able to fall back and call for backup to obtain the kills more easily.

Haven Valorant B Site

If you want to go in the middle, B Site is your option. You will have access to A Link, C Link, or Mid Courtyard. Instead of clumps of boxes and other objects, you will have access to a solid and impenetrable structure around the planting area. Moreover, you will see a blocked area at B Back, which you can use to hide in plain sight. Some crates are stacked near the wall of C Link. You and your team can stand on top if you are using flying or teleport abilities.

Attacking on a B Site is more challenging than attacking on an A or C Site, but with some luck and running down Mid Courtyard using some utility agents and abilities, it can work. Remember to check B Back when you are trying to leave to avoid ambushes. When it’s time to defend B Site, you won’t be able to peak too much, and we recommend you aim and hold angles on Mid Courtyard from A Link or even C Link if you want to kill enemies that are off guard or recklessly pushing your team. Most times, B Site defense will be challenging, so call backup if needed or just step back when you don’t feel this could be the right move.

C Site

You will have three entry points for the Haven Valorant C Site. Compared with the other two Sites, it is a more open space with some decent cover. There are central boxes, and you can also find some good spots for hiding in the C Platform and C Logs with striking angles and the potential to hold the position.

Attacking on C Site is one of the best options if you have an agent with smoking abilities that let you push C Long or at least secure the Garage. C Site is more significant than A and B Sites, which means you must be hyperaware of your surroundings because foes can appear from anywhere. Clear out every spot before planting. Defending is another story because one of the best options is to hold C Long from behind C Platform with an Operator or some long-range rifle. C Site has more options you can use to hold angles, but you must always watch Garage to avoid any surprise push from there.

Valorant Haven Map Callouts

In Valorant, players use different terms or phrases to communicate quickly with teammates and share vital information. Callout is a term used to share enemy positions and strategies or map-specific locations where they might be hidden or pushing. Haven in Valorant has three callouts that represent a threat to you and your team. Here are the ones you should watch out for:

  • A Short: This path will lead you directly to A Site.
  • C Long: It is a long corridor stretching all the way to C Site.
  • Garage: A big area that allows for rotations between C and B Sites.

These locations represent a common point for fights or hiding places, which are meant to support you or delay your attacks, depending on the goal. Haven in Valorant has more options than the usual maps, so it will require more thinking to make effective moves and plays.
